Client’s needs included challenging design and functionality that was relevant to all of its members, from young kids, preteens, teens, young adults and the rest of us.
Papugai, with the help of design-educated Ern Menocal, a pastor at Blue Sky, achieved its messaging and design goals — and then some, and has received rave reviews from church members, design critics, and beyond. One comment that reached Papugai was, “It’s the best Church website I have ever seen.”
One exciting new feature is the “Blue Sky Calendar.” Church administration has access to the “back end” of the site allowing changes and updates with ease. The calendar (powered by Papugai’s SmartEngage.NET) features searchable events by category, custom unloadable graphics for each event, and an option to email event details to friends. It is also color-coded based on groupings of events, making it easy to navigate and find what event you are looking for.
In addition to the calendar, a fun feature of the website is the ability to listen to teachings as well as live music recording from the church using a Flash-based audio player.
